THE BASICS are heading out on their first international tour.

THE BASICS are packing their travel gear and taking their new single "Rattle My Chain" to Tokyo, London and Oslo on their first international tour.

The tour is taking The Basics to the shores of Japan, the UK, Norway and Tokyo in August and October and London in September.

"It's something we've gotta do now," says The Basics', Kris Schroeder (bass/vox). "I've read stories about major Australian artists who have busted their balls to make it here, only to have been too wound down to start all over again overseas. You don't need to be big in Australia to take the dive overseas ? in fact, it may help certain people recognise the fact that you don't know what you got until it's gone!"
