Grant:

Grant (me) -bass and back up vocals

Liam-guitar vox,
matt-drum vox

Cindy:

Being a Sydney based band, and the demand in the scene largely followed by alot of other artists, have you found much competition with shows, venues, fan bases etc? Or has it all been a smooth run so far?

Grant:

We love playing live shows; it’s given us an opportunity to meet so many cool people. It’s sometimes hard to get a gig but that’s due to our lazy attitudes at times

Cindy:

Formation of the band; Was it originated throughout high school or elsewhere?

Grant:

Yeah it was Liam and I went to school together and originally started in a heavy metal band. We met matty about 2 years ago and its been a blast ever since

Cindy:

Is there any Sydney bands we should keep our eye out for?

Grant says:

Yeah definitely, Paw no maw, dime a dozen and platform 22, all really cool bands!

Cindy:

Pigeon hole time!!! hheheheh... What style of music you would guys categorise yourselves into?

Grant:

Cindy:

Ahem... need I ask more?? hahahh... What would Ardent's greatest achievement as a band to-date be?

Grant:

Probably getting to the final of the Sydney uni band comp last august

Cindy:

Rad!!! What would some of the musical influences behind Ardent consist of?

Grant:

Ratm Grinspoon lagwagon unwritten law deftones tumbleweed...

Cindy:

Do you guys have any previous releases or future recording plans in sight?

Grant:

We recorded a demo about 18mths ago at Zen studios and another at A-sharp studios a year ago. We are looking to record a five track EP in May consisting of all new songs, if all goes to plan

Cindy:

Awesome, is the demo still for sale?

Grant:

No it’s not but I’m sure that if someone really wanted it I could get my hands on one!

Cindy:

Cindy:

And where do you see the band in 12-18 months?

Grant:
